Billy began his Jiu-Jitsu training under the direct tutelage of Romero "Jacare´" Cavalcanti, a 6th dgree black belt and founder of the Alliance Team. Billy began making the trek from Greenville, SC to Atlanta, GA once a week to learn Jiu-Jitsu from a black belt. Mr. Fletcher has competed for the Alliance Team and medalled many times over including major tournaments such as the Pan Ams. Billy continues to train at the Alliance Martial Arts Training Center to gain and spread more knowledge of the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to the upstate of South Carolina.

With a thirst for more knowledge, Billy Fletcher is also the only certified Pat Militech instructor in the state of South Carolina.

When Luis was seven years old, he began his training in martial arts. AT age 12, he started to study Judo, when after about two years he was introduced to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. After eight years of hard work, Luis attained the degree of black. Several years later, he studied at the Carlson Gracies Academy In Copcabana.

He also worked on several projects teaching women's self-defended Rape prevention Clinics / Seminars, Kids Safety programs, as well as personal protection, and self-defense classes at hospitals, Colleges and numerous private businesses throughout North Carolina. He also was the Guest instructor for the USJA Judo Camp. Also working together with ANOTHER CHOICE a Foster care agency in Charlotte, NC Providing Free Classes for there Kids.

He has taught defensive tactics (Subject Control & Weapons Retention) to numerous Law Enforcement agencies and personnel (FBI, Mecklenburg county Sheriff Dept Trainees, DEA, Fire Dept Trainees and US Navy Seals, Marines, and the Air Marshall's just to name a few). He is recognized as the leading subject control and weapons retention instructor in the Carolinas. Luis is also the President of the North Carolina Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation .

Still with a thrust for more knowledge not only for himself but for his students He went to Jacaré Cavalcanti founder and head coach of Team Alliance/MasterBJJ. At the Alliance you grow as a team. That is why the Alliance is the #1 Team in the World winning the World Jiu Jitsu Championship 2 years straight. The list of Alliance Champions is all a reflection of Jacaré as a person, friend, coach, and instructor.
